Prologue (Chapter 1)

The prologue chapter features a single tutorial quest.
The Path to Hogwarts
This brief quest has you following Professor Fig to Hogwarts while learning basic spells like Revelio and Lumos and defeating a few novice enemies.
I recommend taking time to fully explore the starting area before moving forward. And be sure to destroy all containers to collect crafting resources!

- My Insight: It serves as a gentle introduction before the action ramps up.
Attending Classes (Chapter 2)
Difficulty: Apprentice
The second chapter focuses on attending introductory classes and learning magic.

Welcome to Hogwarts
As you‘re guided to your house‘s common room, take time to explore the castle and learn the layout. Speaking with the portraits can reveal interesting backstories.

Charms Class
I recommend completing the bonus objective of hitting 10 targets to gain additional XP. Cast Accio on pumpkins and other objects when traversing Hogwarts to grind this useful summoning charm.
- Reward: Accio Spell, 260 XP, First Class Student Trophy achievement.
Defense Against the Dark Arts Class
Practice the Levioso spell outside of class by hovering all kinds of objects. It can even stun enemies when aimed properly!

Shopping in Hogsmeade
Be sure to rob the shopkeeper‘s stash box for crafting resources! I also advise speaking to every villager to unlock side quests and challenges.

Investigating Secrets (Chapter 3)
Difficulty: Advancing Apprentice
After learning basic magic, the quests shift focus to investigating creepy Hogwarts mysteries.

Pay close attention to Professor Garlick‘s instructions on safely handling dangerous magical plants. Mandrakes can be especially tricky!

Offer to help Natty with future artifact translations. The extra Charms practice from copying runes helped improve my Wingardium Leviosa proficiency.

Preparing for Trials (Chapter 5-7)

Specializing in certain spells will prepare you for upcoming challenges. I focused on mobility and combat magic.

The Map Chamber
When Professor Fig reveals the please-touch-me plant, I recommend harvesting it for the 4 Venomous Tentacula seeds. They can be thrown as explosive ranged weapons!

Surviving the Trials (Chapter 8-10)
Difficulty: Skilled Wizard
The trials offer convoluted puzzles and lethal traps protecting mysterious secrets. Expect challenging combat against multiple wizard types.
Percival Rackham‘s Trial
In the first trial, attempt solving the pillar puzzles before activating Guardian Defenders to avoid facing multiple enemies simultaneously.

Loot every crate and sack – I discovered quality gear and artifact resources which sold for over 1,500 Galleons!

When investigating the secret passage, use Revelio on bookshelves to uncover the Marunweem‘s Oil recipe. It reduces all damage by 50%!

Gear up and prepare your strongest spells for the final battles against Ranrok‘s forces. Expect lethal enemies and dynamic boss fights.
