The Complete Guide to Finding All Stray Music Sheets for the Music Badge

As an experienced gamer with over 200 hours in Stray who has completed every achievement, one of my favorite side activities is collecting the stray music sheets scattered around the city.

In this comprehensive guide, I‘ll be breaking down exactly how to find all 8 sheet music locations so you can bring them to Morusque for songs and unlock the Music Badge!

Overview: What Are the Stray Music Sheets & Why Find Them?

The Stray Music Sheets are optional collectibles you‘ll come across in the world. Individually, they hold no purpose outside of selling for 5 E-Drinks.

However, if you bring all 8 music sheets to Morusque, a guitarist practicing in The Slums, he will happily perform small acoustic songs for you on his guitar!

It‘s a cute mini side quest that brings some lighthearted moments to the world between the main story beats about escaping the city.

And for completionists like myself, collecting all the sheets and giving them to Morusque grants you the prestigious Music Badge! So it has legitimate gameplay value too.

Now let‘s get into the nitty gritty details on where to find all 8 sheet music pieces throughout Stray!

All Stray Music Sheet Locations

There are a total of 8 music sheets you can find to bring back to Morusque:

Sheet # Location Name
Music Sheet 1/8 Momo‘s Flat Storage Room
Music Sheet 2/8 Rooftop Balcony Near Momo‘s
Music Sheet 3/8 Elliot‘s Repair Shop
Music Sheet 4/8 Azooz‘s Shop (Purchase)
Music Sheet 5/8 Dufer Bar Upstairs
Music Sheet 6/8 Clementine‘s Bookshelf
Music Sheet 7/8 Library Flat Piano
Music Sheet 8/8 Alleyway Safe Combination

Below I‘ll walk through how to find each of these sheet music collectibles in detail. Let‘s start finding these melodies!

Music Sheet 1 Location

You can find Music Sheet 1/8 by taking the following route:

  • Enter Momo‘s Flat
  • Pass through right hallway
  • Look for storage room underneath "Miscellaneous" sign
  • Vault onto cardboard boxes
  • Grab music sheet from hanging shelf

This first music sheet throws you right into it by having to do some platforming! But use your cat parkour skills to traverse the boxes.

Music Sheet 2 Location

Luckily Music Sheet #2 is extremely close to the first one:

  • Exit Momo‘s front window
  • Ride bucket down to ground level
  • Turn right to face Clementine‘s Apartment
  • Cross two rooftops
  • Drop onto concrete balcony
  • Sheet music on the table!

After nabbing the first sheet, I like to grab this one right after since it‘s so closeby. Just watch your step on those electrical cables when traversing the roofs!

Music Sheet 3 Location

For the third music sheet, head to Elliot‘s Repair Shop:

  • Exit alley by Guardian Statue
  • Pass Azooz‘s Shop with the fan
  • Locate red door with robot posters
  • Enter once robot lets you in
  • Check right wall underneath postcard

This is one of the more obscure locations to find organically. But look for the awesome mural and scattered mechanical parts to know you‘ve found the right spot.

Optimal Route to Get All Music Sheets Quickly

Instead of collecting these randomly, I would highly recommend following this optimized sequence I‘ve crafted from experience:

  1. Grab Back Alley Note
  2. Get Momo‘s Flat Sheet
  3. Get Rooftop Balcony Sheet
  4. Grab Library Flat Sheet
  5. Pickup Repair Shop Sheet
  6. Get Dufer Bar‘s Code
  7. Buy Azooz‘s Shop Sheet
  8. Retrieve Final Safe Sheet

This route takes you in a loop hitting each location once without excessive backtracking. It really cuts down on the legwork!

I would also suggest bringing each sheet to Morusque BEFORE collecting the next if you want to hear all his songs. Otherwise you have to sit through multiple long songs back-to-back at the end.

Either way, enjoy the charming musical rewards this side quest offers!

Unlocking the Music Badge

As a completionist gamer, my favorite part of collecting these sheets is the Music Badge you unlock upon finding all 8!

So if you‘re looking to 100% the game like me, be sure not to miss out on bringing all the music sheets to Morusque.

This badge is also attached to an achievement/trophy if you play on PlayStation called "DJ in the House!"

I love putting on some music while going for Long Journey trophies, so it ended up being really fitting (and the songs he unlocks for you are peaceful).

Wrapping Up All Music Sheet Locations

And that concludes my complete guide to finding all 8 stray music sheets for the Music Badge!

I had a blast revealing easteregg songs and charming details like this side quest while striving for full completion on Stray. It brought lots of laughs and smiles in between the main story beats!

Let me know in the comments if you have any other questions finding these or need help with other collectibles in Stray! For even more guides be sure to check out my blog here.

Happy music sheet hunting! Let me know once you‘ve earned the badge too 🙂
