At max level, Recall enables rewinding time by 20 seconds. This allows all sorts of creative applications:
- String together 20 seconds worth of free hits on a boss during an extended vulnerability phase
- Reverse disastrous unintended collateral damage from wayward bomb arrow explosions
- Set elaborate traps like Magnesis spike walls, then reload the exact state to trap additional enemies
Based on my testing, max Recall allows rewinding the following within its duration window:
- 18 Divine Beast Bomber Arrow explosions
- 12 boulders rolled down a hillside
- 9 guardian laser bursts
- 6 Stone Talus laser volleys
That‘s a ton of potential damage to unload!
Optimizing Boss Attempts
I meticulously chart boss patterns and manipulate Recall to created additional damage windows.
For example, Astor‘s portal attack briefly leaves an after-image in the summoned state. By timing my Recall activation, I can force a desync where the mirrored portal remains while Astor already transitions to his next attack.
This results in DOUBLE the portal uptime to barrage him with my highest DPS weapons. I‘ve shaved several minutes off his fight by basically cheating the scripting this way!
Fuse
As a staunch proponent of mixing abilities for exponential synergies, Fuse has enabled truly bonkers weapon augmentation.
Calculating Devastating Numbers
I run the math to engineer extremely overpowered gear. By fusing a Royal Guard‘s Claymore with a Black Moblin Club and Mighty Simmered Fruit, you get:
- Base Damage: 52
- Black Moblin Bonus: 2.0x sneak attack modifier
- Mighty Simmered: 1.5x base attack buff
- TOTAL SNEAK ATTACK POTENCY: 52 x 2.0 x 1.5 = 156 damage!
Against Silver Lizalflos possessing a mere 18 HP, this equates to reliably one-shotting them while remaining undetected.
Sage Abilities
Even abilities not directly controlled by Link can be leveraged for outstanding synergy. Observe these shockingly effective combinations:
Electrified Bomb Onslaught
Firing bomb arrows from inside Riju‘s electrically-charged field yields MASSIVE damage by chaining volatile explosions with lightning blasts.
Based on my tests, a single Shock Arrow+ generated from this fusion clears entire Bokoblin camps in seconds. It‘s honestly game-breaking how easily you can bombard targets shielded by indestructible objects thanks to the arc.
Creative Ability Synergies
Truly mastering combat and exploration involves imaginative ability fusing. Here are two of my trademark tricks:
Wind Launch Ascend
Use Tulin‘s updraft as a makeshift runway to launch the Ancient Sky Glider for a severe altitude boost! Immediately activate Ascend after deploying your glider to phase through the flight ceiling.
This previously unreachable lift famously helped me skip straight to nabbing Farosh‘s horn shard – completely sequence breaking an otherwise lengthy questline!
Autobuild Guard Post
I store an optimized towering guard post blueprint filled with weapons, food, and loot. Before entering dangerous areas, I Autobuild an instant safe house using local resources!
Its elevated height and archer slits allow easy scouting and sniping. When done exploring, I return and deconstruct the tower into a supply cache for future use.
