The Ultimate Guide to Watching Power – When, Where and How to Stream New Episodes

As a home technology expert who loves streaming the latest shows, I‘m often asked by friends – does Power come on tonight? How can I watch new episodes of Power? As a fan myself, I can provide the insider scoop on exactly when and where you can stream new Power episodes.

With this comprehensive guide, you‘ll learn everything about the Power schedule, streaming options, and how to access new episodes as early as possible. I‘ll share tips from my own experiences as a cord-cutter and streaming fan to help fellow fans never miss an episode of this addictive crime drama.

When Does New Power Air?

Let‘s start with the Power schedule and when you can see new episodes on TV:

  • United States: Sundays at 8pm EST/5pm PST on Starz
  • Canada: Sundays at 8pm EST on Starz
  • UK: Mondays at 9pm GMT on Starzplay
  • Australia: Mondays at 12pm AEDT on Stan

The number of episodes and season start/end dates varies:

Season Episodes Premiere Finale
1 8 June 7, 2014 Aug 2, 2014
2 10 June 6, 2015 Aug 15, 2015
3 10 July 17, 2016 Sept 26, 2016
4 10 June 25, 2017 Oct 1, 2017
5 10 July 1, 2018 Sept 9, 2018
6 15 Aug 25, 2019 Feb 9, 2020

So for instance, season 6 had a long run from August 2019 to February 2020. Always check Starz for the latest schedule.

Where to Watch Power

Now let‘s go over where you can actually watch Power:

On Starz

The Starz channel is the original home of Power. If you have Starz through your cable or satellite provider, simply tune to the Starz channel on Sunday nights at 8pm EST.

Here are the Starz channel numbers for major providers:

  • DirecTV: Channel 520 (SD), 1520 (HD)
  • Dish Network: Channel 350 (SD/HD)
  • Verizon Fios: Channel 899 (SD/HD)
  • AT&T U-verse: Channel 1654 (SD), 5354 (HD)
  • Spectrum: Channel 789 (SD), 1789 (HD)
  • Xfinity: Channel 400 (SD), 1600 (HD)

But what if you‘ve cut the cord? Keep reading for cord-cutter options.

Starz App

As a streaming fan myself, I use the Starz app to watch Starz originals like Power, Outlander, and more. The Starz app is available on:

  • Roku
  • Amazon Fire TV
  • Apple TV
  • Android Phones/Tablets
  • iOS Phones/Tablets
  • Chromecast

With the app, you can live stream Starz or watch on demand. As a subscriber, I can vouch for the high streaming quality – perfect for Power fans!

Monthly pricing is $8.99, or you can save with an annual subscription at $89.99 per year. Well worth it for access to top Starz shows!

Hulu + Live TV

For $69.99 per month, Hulu + Live TV provides over 75 channels plus full access to regular Hulu shows/movies. The channel lineup includes Starz, so you can watch Power live or on demand via Hulu.

I‘m a big Hulu fan for the huge on demand library, but the added live channels make it a cable replacement. Definitely one of the best options for cord-cutters in my opinion.

Sling TV

Sling TV offers two base channel packages: Sling Orange ($35/month) and Sling Blue ($35/month). Starz can then be added to either base package for an extra $9 per month. This gives you access to live, on demand Power viewing.

Sling is one of the most affordable live TV streamers out there. While the base packages are limited, they work well when you add on premiums like Starz. Worth looking into for the low price and flexibility!

FuboTV

FuboTV may not be as recognizable as brands like Hulu or YouTubeTV. But the streamer focuses on sports and entertainment, making it a great option for sports AND Power fans!

Their starter plan is $69.99 per month for over 120 channels, including Starz. You can stream Power live or record it DVR-style to watch later.

Amazon Prime Video

Already have Amazon Prime? You can add Starz to unlock full seasons of Power to stream on demand. This costs $8.99 per month in addition to the regular Prime fee.

A nice perk – you can watch Starz through Prime Video apps across tons of devices like Fire TV, Roku, gaming consoles and more.

Apple TV & Direct Purchase

You can buy full seasons or single episodes of Power via Apple TV or directly from retailers like Amazon, Google Play or Vudu.

Prices vary but you‘ll generally pay $1.99-$2.99 per HD episode. Full seasons range from $14.99-$29.99 in HD.

The benefit is you can download episodes to watch offline when you purchase directly. Great for plane rides or road trips!

How to Stream New Episodes of Power

Starz has exclusive rights to new Power episodes. But other streaming platforms are quickly able to add new episodes after they air:

Platform Availability
Hulu Tuesdays
Amazon Prime Video Wednesdays
Netflix Thursdays

So if you don‘t have access to Starz, you only have to wait a couple days after airing to catch new episodes on sites like Hulu or Netflix. Super helpful for cord-cutters!

For hardcord fans, Starz offers early episode unlocks which I‘ll explain more in the next section.

How to Watch Power Early!

As a streaming pro looking to maximize my entertainment, I‘m always trying to figure out how to watch new episodes as early as possible. Here are some tricks I‘ve discovered for Power fans to watch up to 48 hours before TV air time:

Use the Starz App

The Starz app allows subscribers to unlock new Power episodes 48 hours before they air on television. That means you can watch on Friday nights instead of Sunday!

I love using this to watch Power as early as possible. But don‘t spoil it for others on social media – keep the story twists to yourself until Sunday night!

Check On Demand or Starz.com

Many cable companies provide Starz on demand viewing, allowing you to watch episodes a day early. For instance, Xfinity customers can access Starz on demand on Saturdays.

The Starz website itself also sometimes grants early access. I always check both on demand or Starz.com on Saturdays in case I can get my Power fix 24 hours early!

Try International Streaming

This trick isn‘t foolproof, but works well if you have the right streaming subscription!

In some countries like the UK and Australia, new Power episodes actually premiere before the U.S. So if you have access to international streaming services like Stan (Australia), you may get episodes 24 hours before everyone else.

I have a friend in Australia who lets me use his Stan login to watch early. Check with any friends or family overseas – they may be able to help fellow fans out!

When Do New Episodes of Power Spinoffs Air?

As a devoted Power viewer, I‘m also hooked on the expanding Power Universe spinoffs:

  • Power Book II: Ghost
  • Power Book III: Raising Kanan
  • Power Book IV: Force
  • Power Book V: Influence (upcoming)

Here‘s when you can watch new episodes of the Power spinoffs:

Show Air Time
Ghost Sundays 9pm EST
Kanan Sundays 10pm EST
Force Sundays 9pm EST

Most spinoffs also air on Starz with 10 episodes per season. Release times on other platforms vary.

I love seeing the origin stories of well-known Power characters in these new shows. It really expands the universe and mythology.

When Will Power Book II: Ghost Return for Season 3?

Book II premiered in September 2020 and delivered season 2 from November 2021 to February 2022. No exact date yet, but Starz did renew Ghost for a third season likely coming Fall 2022.

I‘m eagerly anticipating season 3 to see what happens next with Tariq‘s drug empire and his fight to free mum Tasha. The Power Universe creators said season 3 will pick up right after the crazy season 2 finale, so get ready for more drama!

Starz will announce the official season 3 premiere date over the summer most likely. As a super fan, I have notifications turned on for Power Universe social media accounts so I never miss an update or trailer.

Be sure to follow the Power Instagram, Facebook or Twitter to stay current on all the new season announcements. Can‘t wait to see Tariq back in action!
