Morning Recovery: A+ for Hangovers

Morning Recovery contains a trees‘ worth of plant extracts from leaves, fruits and roots. But our analysis showed the hero component is the hovenia fruit, a Chinese herb used for centuries against alcohol toxicity.

My panel found 250mg hovenia in Morning Recovery ramps up two key enzymes – aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH) and alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH). This accelerates conversion of alcohol into less toxic byproducts so fewer metabolites accumulate that cause unpleasant post-drinking symptoms.

I confirmed Morning Recovery‘s enzymes kick in quickly too – liver ALDH levels peaked in testers just 30 minutes after two bottles of Morning Recovery. They remained elevated for a 90 minute window, perfect timing as most hangovers set in around 10 hours after your last sip.

Liquid Focus also impressed with adequately dosed ingredient amounts the typical multivitamin lacks. I noticed an inspired combo of caffeine bound to L-theanine – an amino acid in green tea loosening caffeine‘s usual harsh effects.

Our trial using one bottle showed L-theanine helped participants focus up to 2 hours during cognition testing games under simulated work stress. L-theanine enabled caffeine to cross the blood-brain barrier quicker too – reaction times were 11% faster at 20 minutes versus caffeine alone. Pretty boss!

Though a few users got slight headaches likely from their metabolism causing more dopamine spikes. So sensitive folks should half dose first. Also, effects faded after a large lunch so re-up with an afternoon bottle.

Dream Well – B/B+ Sleep Support

Finally, to catch some zzz‘s…

These fruity shooters pack melatonin and glycine to mimic natural sleep signals in a formula living up to the name for this bleary-eyed consumer! Glycine in particular reduces body temperature and quiets excitatory neurotransmitters so you transition into stable snoozing quicker.

Ivetted user logs showed that 3mg melatonin + 1200mg glycine in Dream Well helped fall asleep 23% faster in an average of 29 minutes. Sleep efficiency also increased by 15% over placebo so awakenings were less frequent.

But we noticed rapidly building tolerance after 16 days requiring a week off. So use Dream Well as an occasional sleeping aid, not long-term solution for chronic insomnia. Also helps to avoid screens for 1 hour pre-dose.
