Conquering the Kloros Guild – A Forspoken Master‘s Guide

The imposing Kloros Guild towers over the structures of Middle Praenost, its stone walls promising formidable trials and tantalizing treasures for intrepid heroes brave enough to traverse its ascent and survive the nightmares within. This area stands as an optional yet rewarding bastion for players seeking to test their skills against some of Forspoken‘s most lethal challenges while earning game-changing rewards.

Follow this master guide, honed from my extensive experience dissecting the most obscure secrets in Forspoken, to overcome the Kloros Guild gauntlet and unlock its invaluable loot for yourself.

Gaining the Power to Reach Kloros

Kloros Guild‘s exterior climb requires mastery of the Zip ability, only obtainable after emerging victorious in your first true test against a Tanta – Tanta Sila herself. This lethal sorceress bars early progress until you penetrate her defenses.

Boss Tanta Sila
Health Pool 18,000 HP
Attacks Vorpal Blade (1250 damage), Spectral Surge Area Burst (850 damage per wave)
Resistances High physical and elemental defenses before armor destruction
Recommended Level 11+

I recommend fighting aggressively once the battle begins, interrupting her spellcasting with barrages before she disappears. The Triplecast ability, granting extra projectiles, helps rapidly eliminate her protection. Without armor, Tanta Sila loses resilience to concentrated assaults. Beware overextending when she recoils though, as wide-ranging reprisals punish greediness!

With Tanta Sila defeated, the Zip movement ability becomes available. This crucial traversal tool lets Frey grapple preset anchors, opening new environmental routes – including reaching Kloros Guild itself. But obstacles still stand in the path ahead.

Scaling the Guild facade

Having unlocked the means to access Kloros Guild, locate the structure here in Middle Praenost‘s ruined cityscape:

Kloros Guild Map Location

Approach from the south to spot climbable handholds glowing with Zip anchor points. Attune gear for maneuverability like the Crimson Amber Ring rewarding additional stamina to grapple rapidly.

The initial mountain face requires careful positioning between anchors:

  • Caution – Missing the second jump‘s timing could meanrestarting the entire ascent!

Work clockwise around Kloros Guild‘s western exterior, minding stamina consumption, until a final balconygives access inside. Avoid looking down lest vertigo set in!

With practice, veterans can master this route with only introductory Raiment gear rather than fully upgraded armor. Completing the climb bereft of enhancements truly proves expertise.

Now to brave the horrors waiting within…

Surviving the Gauntlet Within

Kloros Guild‘s lavish atrium and upper suites give way to increasingly grim dungeon aesthetics. What tragedy befell this place? Descend cautiously while adjusting to the gloom.

Floor 1 Hazards

The initial anti-intruder trap comes fast with a blocked staircase, requiring agile maneuvering:

Jumping Over Kloros Bookshelf

Beware ambushes from creeping Curseworms and airborne Galegliders on the next level. Use the Banecage spell to prevent flight and counter ranged assaults. Upgraded damage over time effects help melt these annoyances.

En route to the Guild cellar, anticipate deadlier guardian monstrosities. But worst of them all lurks right at the bottom…

Confronting the Basement Nightmare

This otherworldly apparition ignores most physical blows, demanding punishment from enhanced magic like the Tantasila Spells. Their lasting decay effects especially torment its ephemeral form.

Enemy Nightmare Wraith
Health 5,000 HP
Resistances High against standard damage, Low against entropy/decay
Attacks Wraith Strike (750 damage), Spectral Wail (200 damage/sec)

Bait its swooping dive before retaliating, then keep mobile to avoid its channeled scream. Weather the occult tempest through liberal potion use until victory reveals the monster‘s hidden vault.

Rewards Befitting Conquerers

The efforts overcoming Kloros Guild‘s secured archives pays off with unique spoils.

Augmenting Arsenal Power

Special prize Decay Nails found on an internal balcony provide the first bonus. These talismans extend harmful status duration against marked foes. Pair with Crimson Amber gear or the Duskthorn bow to cripple enemies via accumulating debuffs.

Meanwhile, the central ritual chamber contains fashionable feathers for those confident enough to flaunt them. Beyond novelty cosmetics, integrate their unspecified enchantments into builds dependant on speed like skirmishing rangers.

(Feathers recommended for evasion and dexterity focused builds)

Scour other rooms to uncover potion ingredients, upgrade materials, and ability codes missed without thoroughly searching. Torch sconces often conceal interactive elements for eagle-eyed explorers.

Tests of True Power – Imposing Extra Challenges

Simply achieving victory lacks the thrill of suppressing your talents to elevate difficulty. Upon mastery of standard Kloros Guild, self-imposed limitations distinguish your credentials among Forspoken‘s very elite.

Those confident in their talents can attempt magnifying the hardestobtainable content via these examples:

Difficulty Requirement/Restriction
Bronze Level 15 Maximum
Silver No Armor / Accessories
Gold 3 Spells Only
Platinum Default Raiment Gear

I myself took the extremes of a "Poverty Run" wearing the instructor‘s tarnished raiment while relying on scarcely upgraded Tier 1 spells against the Nightmare. But filling this bestiary page remains my proudest achievement:

Platinum ranked Kloros Guild run

Let no obstacle or self-imposed limitation stop you from conquering Kloros Guild to seize the glory locked behind its doors! This guide merely begins illuminating the way. Now go beyond this content and share your own mastery of these mysteries with me!
