Dark Souls 3 Best Faith Weapons

As an avid Dark Souls 3 player with over 2000 hours across multiple builds, I‘ve tried out every faith-focused weapon there is. And let me tell you, these ancient blades infused with the powers of lightning, dark, fire and magic can melt bosses in seconds when used right.

In this guide, I‘ll share my deep insider knowledge to definitively rank the 10 best faith weapons that will take your game to the next level. I‘ll cover everything you need to understand to master them – lore, stats, scaling, moves, locations, tips and tricks.

So grab your Talismans and let‘s get straight to it, shall we?

What Are Faith Weapons?

For those new to Souls games, your Faith attribute determines the strength and effectiveness of certain weapons and spells that draw power from divine sources.

The higher your Faith, the more oomph holy weapons and damaging Miracles you can access to obliterate enemies.

Faith weapons utilize auxiliary damage types that scale exceptionally well as Faith rises:

  • Lightning – The Dragon Cult‘s signature. Wrecks dragons and their kin.

  • Dark – Aligned with humanity. Destructive against gods.

  • Fire – Chaos and flame weapons. Burns through enemies.

  • Magic – Enchanted through mystic arts. Shatters magical defenses.

So if you‘ve got the Faith, these are the armaments of righteous warriors and holy knights that will serve you best on your quest.

I‘ve ranked the 10 finest Faith weapons here based on damage potential, moveset, requirements and lore. So let‘s get to it.

#1 Dragonslayer Greataxe

Forged from an ancient dragon‘s power and serving as executioner‘s tool for the gods‘ enemies, the Dragonslayer Greataxe brings the pain:

- 200 physical damage
- 74 lightning damage (S-scaling with Faith)
- 100 critical damage
- Weighs 20 units

Its Falling Bolt weapon skill unleashes their trademark lightning smash that obliterates foes, especially useful against dragon bosses.

To wield this greataxe, you‘ll need 40 Strength. It packs slow, heavy swings that cleave enemies in an arc.

You can acquire it by transposing the Soul of Dragonslayer Armour with Ludleth after an intense Lothric Castle showdown.

This is arguably the most powerful Faith weapon in Dark Souls 3 – an essential pickup.

#2 Dragonslayer Swordspear

What do you get when you combine the Nameless King‘s swordsmanship with his storm drake‘s Lightning? The Dragonslayer Swordspear of course!

- 128 physical damage
- 34 lightning damage
- S-Faith scaling when upgraded

It‘s got less raw damage than the Greataxe but much faster thrust attacks that still shred dragon enemies.

The Falling Bolt smash is narrower but strikes instantly. I love finishing off fleeing hosts in PvP with it.

You‘ll need at least 16 Strength and 22 Dexterity to wield it. Plus it looks incredibly badass.

Defeat the Nameless King then have Ludleth transpose his soul to claim this mythic spear. It‘s an outstanding Faith weapon with a moveset that keeps opponents guessing.

#3 Dancer‘s Enchanted Swords

Ever felt like dancing with blades? Well now you can with the hypnotic Dancer‘s Enchanted Swords looted from her corpse:

- 79 physical damage
- Magic/fire/lightning damage
- Int/Faith/Dex scaling

These graceful twinblades combine silver lace with elemental essence to create a lethal barrage.

The unique Dancer‘s Grace weapon art powers up and sends you into a spinning dance of death – one of my favorites to catch opponents off-guard.

You‘ll need Dexterity, Intelligence and Faith to unlock their true damage potential. But it‘s worth it when they‘re shredding enemies so beautifully.

Transposing the Dancer‘s soul with Ludleth is the only way to obtain this magical pair. Now let‘s dance!

#4 Dragonhead Shield

What‘s better than a Shield that breathes dragon fire? That‘s right – the insanely cool Dragonhead Shield:

- High fire absorption
- 116 physical block
- Incredible stability

Its Dragon Breath skill unleashes a wave of fire that enemies find hard to resist.

With very high fire defense and decent Lightning too, this Shield is a perfect parrying tool for any Faith build.

You can discover this in the Ringed City‘s Shared Grave swamps. Equip to tap into ancient dragon magic!

#5 Crucifix of the Mad King

Ahh, nothing like wielding a divine halberd made of actual tortured humans! Clerics gone wild crafted the grotesque Crucifix of the Mad King:

- 124 physical damage
- Dark & bleed auxiliary
- 74 fire damage (for roasting)

It‘s on the heavier side but moveset and reach make up for it.

The Mad King‘s Folly skill emulates his maddened reign – bursts of screams to savage groups or bless you with poise. Such fun madness!

Great against foes weak to fire and dark. Find it after besting Shira in Lothric‘s Grand Archives.

#6 Friede‘s Great Scythe

The most elegant, frost-kissed great scythe ever glimpsed, Friede‘s Great Scythe inspires a dance macabre with every swing:

- 110 physical damage
- 77 frostbite buildup
- 100 critical damage

With frostbite scaling strongly with Faith, each landed blow bites deeper.

Activate Elfriede‘s Stance to initiate her hypnotic barrage, unleashing blackflame and frost blasts.

You‘ll need some Dexterity to wield it properly but this weapon combines range, damage and cruel beauty perfectly.

Defeat Sister Friede in the Painted World then have her soul transformed by Ludleth‘s hand. Now you too can dance across the ashes.

#7 Yorshka‘s Chime

What sort of Faith build lacks proper sacred chimes? Equip dear Yorshka‘s Chime and enjoy the highest spell buff in Dark Souls 3:

- 54 magic damage
- S-Faith scaling
- Low weight

Its gentle tinkle replenishes HP for further destruction.

You‘ll need 30 Faith and Intelligence each to wield it. But once you do, this chime empowers all your Miracles to obliterate sinners.

Locate Company Captain Yorshka in Anor Londo and…liberate…this holy relic from her. Then rain divine justice!

#8 Twin Princes‘ Greatsword

Forged from the fused souls of Lothric and Lorian, the Twin Princes‘ Greatsword channels both brothers‘ fury:

- 126 physical damage
- 83 magic or fire damage!
- Weighs 9.5

The Sacred Light and Flame weapon art allows you to switch between firing searing sword beams or fiery arcs.

It demands 40 Strength and Dexterity along with ample Faith to unlock its potent hybrid moveset.

But its versatility, range and strikes make this one of my top "all-in-one" greatswords for PvE and PvP both.

Reach Journey 2 and transpose both Prince souls. A royal weapon for a true champion.

#9 Onyx Blade

Don‘t let its foreboding appearance fool you – the Onyx Blade brings fiery chaos:

- 80 physical damage
- 115 fire damage
- S-Int/D-Faith scaling

Activated, Elfriede‘s Blackflame ignites the sword, adding fire damage to every hit.

With its long reach and fluid moveset, expect immolated victims constantly assuming you have sufficient Intelligence and Faith.

Defeat Knight of Londor Sir Vilhelm in Ariandel Chapel to brandish this charred greatsword. Hot stuff!

#10 Demon‘s Scar

Lastly we have the twisted Demon‘s Scar curved sword, channeling chaos fire with Intelligence and Faith:

- 99 fire damage
- 1-handed with built-in Pyromancy Flame!

Spin Slash weapon art performs a centrifugal attack, leaving lava at your feet. Wicked!

It lacks physical damage but lets you cast Pyromancies without switching weapons – a royal treat for battle mages.

Transmute the Demon Prince‘s soul to manifest this blazing saber.

In summary, equipping any of these 10 Dark Souls 3 weapons with ample Faith will empower you to cleanse Lothric of monstrosities in style. Each requires mastering distinct attack rhythms and stats but delivers epic results.

I hope my detailed guide gives you the knowledge to select whichever weapon speaks to your inner warrior. Now raise those Talismans with pride and march on! The Age of Fire isn‘t going to rekindle itself.

Praise the Sun! \`[T] /
