If you’re looking to improve your physical conditioning, it will take a whole lot of effort. Steady exercise and a good diet should get you there but it isn’t as simple as that. It’s pretty hard to remain disciplined when it comes to food. We wouldn’t dare stress a strict diet – moderation is a lot easier to achieve. “Since your body digests these foods slowly, the sugar in them offers a steady supply of energy to your cells. A high intake of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains also has been shown to reduce the risk of chronic diseases, such as diabetes, heart disease, and some cancers.”
A good system for curbing your sugar intake would be to allow yourself some every other day. Say you have sugar on Monday, don’t have any on Tuesday, and then back on Wednesday before cutting again on Thursday. This method slashes the intake by 50 percent, which is not at all bad. It’s also a lot easier to maintain, as long as you don’t attempt to make up for the non-sugar days by consuming more on a sugar day.
Other things worth cutting on: Carbs, red meat, alcohol. Low-carb diets are thought to promote weight loss but there are arguments against it as well. Again, moderation is probably best for the regular Joe, you could adopt the same every other day system above.
It could be used for red meat (or all meat) too, going a day or two a week without any animal product is a pretty gainful practice. When it comes to alcohol, just don’t overdo it; if you’re going to drink, keep yourself hydrated. Matching every drink with a glass of water would be optimal.
On the physical side of things, you could do plenty of things to maintain peak physical conditioning. Joining a gym should surely set you on the right track, especially if you could get a fitness trainer to go along with that.

Cardio is pretty crucial to conditioning and it should take up a big part of one’s workout. The great thing about cardio is the fact that you don’t need any equipment. Cardio could be as simple as a daily brisk walk but jogging is even better.
