Harbanero BBQ Sauce Recipes

If you like it hot, then you are sure to love harbanero BBQ sauce recipes. The peppers used for this barbecue sauce are tropical peppers and come in either green or red. These peppers are considered to be some of the hottest peppers you can use.

There are so many harbanero bbq sauce recipes that you are sure to have a hard time choosing which one is your favorite.

For this first recipe you will need:

  • 3 small tomatoes,
  • 1 to 3 habanero peppers,
  • 4 peeled garlic cloves, and
  • ¼ cup of water,
  • ¾ cup of orange juice,
  • ¾ cup of grapefruit juice,
  • salt and pepper to taste.

Sauté in a medium saucepan the tomatoes, peppers, and garlic. When the tomatoes and peppers are tender and slightly brown, place the tomatoes in a blender. Now, remove seeds and stems from peppers and add them to the tomatoes.

Pour the water, orange juice, and grapefruit juice in the blender with the peppers and tomatoes and puree until smooth. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and serve with your favorite meat.

Harbanero bbq Sauce

This next recipe for a great barbeque also uses a blender but has a few different ingredients.

You will need:

  • 12 chopped harbaneros,
  • ½ cup of chopped carrots,
  • ½ cup of chopped green onions,
  • 3 minced cloves of garlic,
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil,
  • ½ cup vinegar, and
  • ¼ cup of lemon juice and
  • ½ cup of water.

First you will need to sauté the onion and garlic in olive oil until the onions are soft. Next, add the carrots and ½ cup of water, simmer on medium heat until carrots are tender. Place this mixture in a blender and puree until smooth. Pour the puree in a medium saucepan and add the lemon juice and the vinegar.

Simmer again this time on low heat for about 5 minutes. Enjoy this very hot barbeque sauce at your next barbecue.
