Barbequed salmon recipes are becoming very popular since everyone is beginning to become health conscience. And fish is a very healthy choice for low cholesterol.

You can prepare salmon in so many delectable ways that you will enjoy serving not only for your family but also for many different occasions.

Barbeque Salmon Recipes

This first barbecue salmon recipe is very easy to prepare and is also very yummy.

You will need:

  • ½ cup of vegetable oil,
  • 5 crushed garlic cloves,
  • 1 tablespoon of diced dill, and
  • 3 tablespoons of lemon juice.

Mix all ingredients together in a medium bowl. Prepare your grill by place foil on the rack. Place your salmon on the foil and baste your salmon with the mixture that you prepared. Do not overcook. As soon as the salmon is a pink color and more firm is it ready to serve.

Another delectable bbq salmon recipe needs the following ingredients:

  • 1 salmon filet,
  • 1 tablespoon of minced garlic,
  • 1 cup of chopped onion,
  • ¼ cup of soy sauce,
  • ¼ cup of white wine,
  • 3 tablespoons of brown sugar,
  • 4 tablespoons of margarine,
  • 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil,
  • salt and pepper to taste.

You should rinse your salmon filet with cold water and then pat dry with paper towels. Rub the salmon with a mixture of pepper and 1 teaspoon of the minced garlic. Make a holder out of foil similar to a boat with sides. Place the salmon in this foil platter.

In a medium saucepan sauté the onion with the margarine and vegetable oil until the onions are translucent.

Add the garlic and cook for about 1 minute. Now, add brown sugar, soy sauce, and wine. Reduce heat and cook for around 5 more minutes. Stir once in awhile while cooking.

The sauce should thicken. Pour the sauce over the salmon and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Grill the fish as usual until desired doneness.
