Barbeque Pork Recipes

Most bbq pork or pork shoulder recipes are wonderful for many different types of meat. You will enjoy each one of these recipes for all of your pork.

For the first barbeque pork recipe you will need:

  • 1 pound of margarine,
  • 2 cups of vinegar,
  • ½ cup of Worcestershire sauce,
  • 3 cups of ketchup or a combination of tomato sauce and tomato paste to equal 3 cups,
  • ¼ cup of minced onions,
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic salt,
  • ¼ cup of mixed spices,
  • salt and pepper to taste.

In a medium saucepan, bring ingredients to a boil, then lower heat and simmer for about 30 minutes. Use this bbq sauce to marinate, baste prior and during cooking.

  • ½ cup of chopped onion,
  • 2 tablespoons of margarine,
  • ½ cup of brown sugar,
  • 1 tablespoon of white vinegar,
  • 1 large can of tomato sauce and
  • 1 tablespoon of dry mustard.

Sauté the onions in just a bit of margarine until they are translucent. Then add the remaining ingredients, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. This would be a wonderful recipe for pork ribs or even pork chops.

As you can see the main ingredient for barbeque sauce is tomato sauce, tomato paste, or ketchup. The rest of the ingredients for bbq pork recipes are for added flavor and enhancement. You can add all types of spices, vegetables, and ingredients to create some very savory bbq sauces that everyone will enjoy.

Try adding to your next bbq pork recipe, that you create, green peppers, Tabasco sauce, or even jalapeno peppers. Each one of these items will change the flavor of your bbq sauce. For a more tropical flavored bbq sauce experiment with coconut milk, instead of the Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce. This will be a very unique flavor that you are sure to enjoy.
