Luke Muehlhauser Discusses The Singularity And Super-Human AI
| At this year's Singularity Summit, Luke Muehlhauser took on those who argue that superhuman artificial intelligence will forever remain beyond the capabilities of technology. |
"If you make these kinds of predictions about what machines can't do, you're going to end up on the wrong side of history," says Muelhlhauser.
Muehlhauser joined the Singularity Institute in 2011 as a researcher, but was quickly appointed Executive Director. He has written dozens of articles and papers on meta-ethics, intelligence explosion theory, and the cognitive science of rationality and human motivation, including the Singularity FAQ and Facing The Singularity.
Previously, he hosted the podcast Conversations from the Pale Blue Dot. He also organized and implemented (with Anna Salamon) Singularity Institute's 2011 rationality training minicamp, and was the lead author of our strategic plan.
